Summer Reading Links Grades K-4

Clifton Park Halfmoon Public Library Summer Reading Club.  Registration begins Monday June 23rd!

The above listing of Summer Reading Programs is here to encourage Shatekon students to continue reading and help prevent that summer slide! Choose any or ALL of the summer reading programs to motivate your child(ren). Numerous studies have confirmed that students who read over the summer come back to school at or above their June reading level.  Students who do not read during the vacation can lose up to an entire grade level’s worth of skills by the time they return in September! And best of all- reading together is so much fun! If you have any questions about summer offerings, please email me at chakkara@shenet.org. I hope you and your family have a happy and safe summer of vacationing and reading together!
